Hi Everyone, Well we have done it! We have a full range of wines and are ready and raring to go!
Not sure what the feeling is that we are feeling (excitement, relief, exhaustion, happiness), but its a good one. A lot of hard work has gone into these wines but to see them all lined up is pure bliss.
So without further ado, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our newest additions to the Comyns & Co portfolio, our Pinot Noir Shiraz, Tempranillo, Shiraz and our Blend, Mr Red who now sits ever so nicely beside none other than Mrs White.
Pinot Noir Shiraz: A blend of 51% Pinot Noir and 49% Shiraz. This Pinot Noir was hand picked (with Missy’s help), to ensure the highest quality of this fruit. Matured in 500L French oak puncheons to gently integrate a lovely structure to the wine without dominating the purity of this fruit. Tempranillo: Another handpicked batch to again ensure the highest quality of grape. This wine was matured in older oak to allow the tannins to soften slowly ensuring the concentration of the fruit to remain the feature. Missy makes it no secret that this is her favourite! Shiraz: This single vineyard Shiraz was taken from the well established Black Cluster Vineyard. Due to vintage conditions this Hunter Shiraz shows remarked cooler climate characteristics, displaying a lovely elegance, delicate tannins. Matured in large format French Oak to compliment the wine in its structure and complexity. Mr Red: A blend of 35% Tempranillo, 30% Petit Verdot, 20% Shiraz and 15% Cabernet. A non traditional blend to accompany the nn traditional Mrs White. This blend was fun to create and to discover how these four varieties can come together to produce an exciting balanced and fuller style wine.Cheers, Scotty
